Police are looking for information in two assaults that took place the Saturday of the Memorial Day long weekend.
On Saturday, at around 10:05 p.m., officers from the First District responded to the 1500 block of First Street SW after getting reports about the sounds of gunshots. When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim that had a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital and his condition is not considered life-threatening. There is no usable suspect description at this time.
Police Seek Information in H Street Assault
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) First District are looking for help as they work to identify two persons of interest in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) that happened Saturday, May 25, on the 1200 block of H Street NE.
At around 2:00 a.m., the victims and suspects got in an argument, during the course of which the suspects stabbed the victims. They then fled the scene.
The persons of interest were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos above.
