The suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery that happened on C Street last Thursday were caught on camera, and now Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detectives are looking for help identifying them.
At around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, July 18, a man was walking on the 1400 block of C Street, SE when he was approached by a group of four young people. One pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the above video.
Anyone who can identify the individuals, or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s Text Tip Line at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime, including armed robbery, committed in the District of Columbia.

At 2 p.m. Thursday, a woman was arrested on the 700 block of 21st Street NE on charges of Threatening to Kidnap or Injure a Person.
At 2:25 p.m. there was an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon on the 700 block of 21st Street NE.
At 5:45 p.m. Thursday, a car was stolen on the 600 block of M Street SE.
At 8:40 p.m. Thursday, there was an attempted robbery on the sidewalk of the 400 block of G Street SE.
At 9:13 p.m. Thursday, there was a robbery at a residence on the 1500 block of Benning Road NE.
At 11:14 p.m. Thursday, a man was arrested on the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue NE on charges of Robbery.
Reporting Illegal Activity
Prompt and detailed reporting of suspicious activities helps prevent crime. If a citizen sees suspicious activity, or any activity that seems out of the ordinary, immediately call 911.
When reporting suspicious activity, give an accurate description. Here are some things to include:
- Brief description of the activity;
- Date, time and location of the activity;
- Physical identifiers of anyone you observed;
- Descriptions of vehicles;
- Information about where people involved in suspicious activities may have gone;
- Your name and information.
