SOME (So Others Might Eat) is in urgent need of items to assist our most vulnerable neighbors.
SOME’s comprehensive programs are designed to help people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty achieve long-term stability and success.
SOME is an interfaith, community-based service organization that exists to help and residents of our nation’s capital experiencing homelessness and poverty. SOME offers a variety of services, including affordable housing, counseling, substance use disorder treatment, and job training.
In addition, SOME helps meet immediate daily needs by providing food, clothing, and healthcare to those in need.
Some is in urgent need of the following items:
- New underwear for men and women, especially larger sizes
- New or gently worn socks for men and women
- New or gently worn bras
- Casual shoes
- Belts
- Plus-sized items for men and women
- Men’s jeans and casual pants
- Men’s shirts
- Maternity clothes
- Infant clothes
Donated items may be dropped off at 71 O St. NW at the times below. We will offer you a donation receipt for your tax records when you drop off your items.
Weekdays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. recommended)
Weekends: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. recommended)
Please do not leave donations outside the building outside opening hours.
SOME keeps their Amazon Wish List up to date with our most needed items. Items purchased from the Wish List will be shipped directly to SOME. To receive a donation receipt for your tax records, please email [email protected] and include your Amazon receipt.
