Hill Residents Robbed at Gunpoint Tuesday near H Street

A young couple was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning as they returned home after a trip to New York.

The victims had taken a ride share from Union Station, arriving at the corner of 12th and H Street NE about 6 a.m. Jan. 9.

After the two exited the vehicle, four young men approached them from behind. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The suspects told the two victims to “give us all your shit,” and the two victims complied, surrendering wallet, purse, jewelry, I-phones and luggage.

The suspects then got into two dark colored SUVs and fled southbound on 12th Street NE.

The two victims were not physically injured.

Teenager Arrested in December Southwest Stabbing

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) First District announce a teenaged girl has been arrested for a stabbing that left another teenager injured.

On Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at around 4:52 p.m., the victim was involved in an altercation with a group of juveniles in the 800 block of Seventh Street SW. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and injured the victim, who is also a teenaged girl.

The victim was treated on the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (DC FEMS).

On Monday, January 8, 2024, a 16-year-old female, of Capital Heights, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
