Man Arrested in May Pennsylvania Avenue Median Murder

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Homicide Branch say a suspect has been arrested in the shooting that took place on Pennsylvania Avenue SE this past spring.

On Wednesday, May 1, at around 12:23 p.m. police reponded to reports of a shooting found a man suffering from gunshot wounds lying on the median. He died at the scene.

The victim was identified as 32-year-old Thomas Carlos Felder, of no fixed address.

A lookout was immediately issued.

On Friday, Oct. 4 of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested a 26-year-old Southeast man. He has been charged with Premeditated First Degree Murder while Armed.

Man Arrested in Northeast Stabbing

On Sunday, Oct. 6 at 4:56 p.m., officers went to 13th and H Street NE, after getting calls reporting a stabbing.  Officers found a man suffering from wounds.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives determined the stabbing actually occurred in the 1500 block of Benning Road NE.

A few hours later, at about 9:21 p.m., officers located and arrested a suspect pursuant to probable cause. A 38-year-old man with no fixed address was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
