The suspects then escaped in the victim’s car, followed by another vehicle –a white 2019 Audi Q7 with Virginia tag 2687EB.

The case caused a stir after photos circulated on social media, purporting to show a very young person in the enger seat of one vehicle used in the crime, pointing a handgun at the photographer.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 police arrested a 13-year-old juvenile male of Southeast and charged him with Armed Carjacking. But officers say that Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is still investigating the case.

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your anonymous photos, videos or tips to the Department’s Text Tip Line at 50411. MPD currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
